To incubate one of the coolest projects Bitcoin and P2P technologies, we propose professionally managed hacker houses – or ‘Bases’ -equipped and operated for contributors, located in our start-up locations. The bases can be utilized for short or long stays, based on individual requirements.
Starting with a single location in Whistler, they will double-up as operations hubs, that allow early team members to become familiar and acquainted with the local economics and vibe, while building and testing community-driven decentralized solutions. The bases should ideally include:
- En-suite private rooms
- A very large communal living and working areas
- Comfortable office / studio rooms for meetings and creative work
- Rooms or areas for temporary visitors that can be turned into higher density Japanese style capsules or compact rooms
- Short walking distance to community center, to enable easy access to community facilities, cafes, and other co-working spaces (for change of scenery)
- Utility rooms
- Large garage to support early dispatch and fulfillment operations.
There are an abundance of available properties in mountain towns, with areas such as Kadenwood offering direct ski-in ski-out access, as well as a gondola.
To incentivise contributors and potential contributors, the project should be in a position to provide:
- A lift pass
- Snowboard / ski lessons & equipment (via the mountain operator)
- Gym & health club membership (i.e. Meadow Park Sport Center)
- Arranged transport
- Medical and other essential support serrvices
- An option to move to more private satellite accommodation
