Accelerating the adoption of bitcoin and freedom technologies, requires them to be dragged into the meatspace. BTCmap.org and CoinOS provide high quality open source mapping and listing, but even bitcoin evangelists will often pay with cash or bank card instead of bitcoin; since ‘Stacking Sats’ takes priority for many people.
Nudge theory can be applied to this problem. Many retailers are generally happy to provide a discount for bitcoin payments, and often view it as the equivalent of a cash payment.
The bitcoin ecosystem also lacks a ‘automated top-up from fiat’ wallet:
User story:
As an advocate of bitcoin, I would like a lightning wallet that tops itself up automatically from my fiat bank account, to a target balance that I’ve specified, so I can spend bitcoin while maintaining my stack.
Nudges at point of sale:
- 10% discount when you pay with bitcoin
- Free shortbread with every hot drink when you pay with bitcoin
- Every 5th bike rental is free
Self-sovereign wallets also enable the new paradigm of decentralised rewards programs / loyalty schemes / club memberships where reward points or membership tokens are minted by a retailer – or a retail consortium -and transferred to customers’ Ed25519 public keys.
With significant capital, various bitcoin-only retail concepts and spaces could be tested:

All spaces should be culture-optimized… Chill flow house music, cool art, based staff etc.
It’s critical to locate retail experiments sympathetically, such they they are only competition with large chain outlets, and not with independent businesses in the same category.

As the project expands and new locations are considered, priority should be given to countries/territories with relatively unrestricted travel conditions, and a decent operating environment, in order that people from select countries currently afflicted by war have an opportunity to work with us, and work with each other, at least for 6-month periods.
