Local skate shops, bike shops, and snow gear shops… have for generations been the bulwarks of the communities that they serve… very often, one guy with a passion, a load of stock, and some young shop workers earning a few dollars to buy new gear for the new season. Sadly, they’re starting to suffer the same fate as local bookshops.
This section should be a directory of independently-owned outlets accepting bitcoin, sorted in geographic proximity to the user’s IP address.
Plan is to offer the first few retailers 0%, so we can work with them to get the integration and UX dialed-in optimally before expanding. It’d be incredibly based if we offered all such shops ultra low commission (i.e. 1%) in perpetuity.
We can start this section very quickly doing dropship with The Circle in Whistler BC… possibly the most OG independently owned snow and skate snow in Canada. He’s currently on Lightspeed.
Would need a few suppliers per country/customs region, to ensure a competitive position with regard to tax and cost of delivery.
Stickers are a huge part of skate and mountain culture. We can provide free bags of assorted stickers to these retailers, to add to each purchase.
