Yo Brock!

First-off, this wordpress is easier to navigate on a desktop 🙂

Here’s a proposal for you to consider…

Me and some bros are bootstrapping a new adoption and decentralisation project.

The overarching vision is to build paywithbitcoin into an ultra high capacity on-ramp for people to board selected self-sovereign decentralized technologies that are curated and configured to create good times.

We’re going to do some incredibly cool upper-funnel marketing in the meatspace, and create a new economic paradigm in micro-targeted meatspace communities… introducing new users to the best bitcoin L2’s and the best emerging P2P technologies… disrupting inefficient supply chains and dis-intermediating monopolies by presenting too-good-to-refuse value propositions… starting with staple grocery items like eggs and milk in some awesome mountain towns.

I think you’re going to like us. We’re all very chill, committed decentralisers. Hopefully, after reading through these pages, you’ll be interested enough to make time for a chat with me and Arctic. There’s a brief section about our backgrounds and experience somewhere in this site. The offer is to come in as an equal founding partner (i.e. pari passu). Some are going to prefer to 🌴 which is no problem. It’s a big project and we’re going to need lots of highly capable bros with good vibes.

The following pages are just an outline for a concept. Nothing is set in stone and everything is up for discussion/change. It’s also written from a ‘product’ perspective without hardcore tech wizardry, so some of the ideas might be sub-optimal or unworkable.

I do Mountain Safety work from winter through spring, and spend a lot of time think thinking about how to optimise local mountain economies, and improve the lives of the people who live in them. Smaller communities generally have lower-complexity economies and should thus be easier to model… much better conditions for A/B testing and, product optimization + dev flow. So, a kind of Paralelní Polis surrounded by snowcapped mountains.

One of the main elements of the project is a location based P2P marketplace app that supports local farmers and producers, with great UX to solve the discovery problem. This will work particularly well in mountain towns where grocery stores mark-up many products by around 30%; far in excess of the actual cost delta. Mountain workers are paid close to minimum wage, and the mountain operator – usually Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN) – is often fully diversified into local economies, pwning / operating local restaurants, cafes, retail, equipment sales/rental, and also as a commercial & residential real estate freeholder. As such, efforts by communities to increase their prosperity generally find their entropy sucked-up and delivered to the same fund managers (Blackrock, Vanguard etc.) in the form of EPS. Meanwhile, local bros can no longer afford a decent house or healthy food because they’ve been priced out of their own communities.

If locals have the opportunity to buy eggs, that are free range, laid locally, organic, and delivered to their door… for a lower price than the eggs from Your Independent Grocerâ„¢ that are laid by battery farm chickens a few hundred kilometers down the valley… that’s probably a good enough value proposition for people to at least consider using bitcoin. (We can A/B test different price deltas for ‘activation energy’).

Combine this value proposition with a delivery service similar to Getir, but as a bitcoin native co-operative in each community, with Cypherpunk vibes, and with many products delivered and priced at the ‘farm gate’. I guess some of the riders will probably be on Vexl as well, so if noobs only have cash, that’ll, probably work too.

There are a bunch of other elements to the project. This is actually the very first time I’ve typed it up, so forgive me if it’s a little unstructured and repetitive. (I don’t like feeding original thoughts into LLM’s)

It’s increasingly apparent that broken money and corrupt centralised structures are fueling a lot of the problems in the world; depriving people of happiness and security and a good life. Our objective is to build some cool things that’ll help fix the underlying problems… using data science, nudge theory, gamification, EDM, cultural engineering, phenomenology…

If we can get the best minds working together, there’s a very good chance that we can create a decentralised force of nature for the common good, that will help liberate humanity into a decentralised future.
