Finally, the ‘Hubs’ concept recognises that Digital Nomading is increasingly the norm, especially for younger people who want to enjoy the opportunity to travel, and those who have been displaced by conflict or priced out of their communities. They could be used as Hero Factories.
The inspiration for ‘Hubs’ circles back to the locations where this idea was conceived and discussed (TrainMore and Bunk) as well as time working at one of the world’s largest hostel chains.
A hub would ideally include:
- Co-working spaces
- Full gym
- A variety of accommodation
- Concierge service
- Dining and kitchen facilities
Each location would be run and led by people who are from the community in which they’re situated, and could perhaps comprise general access areas, as well as permissioned access areas, enabling them to be run simultaneously as an open hostel as well as a members club.
Once again, significant capital will be required, so this is definitely a backburner item.
